Ben and Jack met at The University of East Anglia, both finding they had a passion for cider and began making small batches in their dorm rooms. As a team they developed what was believed to be the perfect formula, tested and voted on by a large group of friends. It was during this testing the name Village Green Cider was formed, but no one remembers by whom!
Following their graduation from UEA both Ben and Jack returned to their retrospective bases, Norfolk and Sussex, developing their own local craft ciders. They are still good friends and keep in regular contact, discussing all things cider. As the origin of the name is still unknown, both Ben and Jack decided to launch under the same name: Village Green Cider Sussex & Village Green Cider Norfolk
